Condensation Control

Anti-Condensation Solutions

A DRIPSTOP fleece on the underside of our roofing sheets. It soaks up condensation and lets it dry out, which helps reduce dripping in agricultural and industrial buildings.

Inside a steel shed clad in box profile

The anti-condensation backing is ordered with the sheets and cut to project-specific lengths.

ANTI-CONDENSATION

A Non-Drip Fleece on the Underside of the Sheet

On a cold morning, condensation forms on the underside of a steel roof and drips on whatever is below. Our anti-condensation backing is a non-drip fleece applied to the underside of the roofing sheet. The fleece we use is DRIPSTOP by Freudenberg. It absorbs the condensation and lets the moisture evaporate, which helps reduce dripping in agricultural and industrial buildings.

  • DRIPSTOP fleece by Freudenberg on the underside of the sheet
  • On suitable box profile and corrugated roofing sheets
  • Goes with different steel finishes and colours
  • Ordered with the sheets, cut to project-specific lengths

The fleece needs suitable ventilation in the building to work. Tell us about the building when you order, and see our ventilated cladding.

HOW IT WORKS

How the DRIPSTOP Fleece Works

The same roof without a fleece and with one, step by step. Tap a step to hold it.

How a DRIPSTOP anti-condensation fleece works, before and after. Without a fleece: warm, moist air from inside rises to the cold steel roof, condensation forms on the underside and drips onto the stock, feed or machinery below. With a DRIPSTOP fleece on the underside of the same sheet: the fleece soaks up the droplets and holds them, which helps reduce dripping; as the roof warms, the moisture dries out and ventilation carries it away. The building needs suitable ventilation for the fleece to work.

DRIPSTOP by Freudenberg (dripstop.net) is the fleece we use. Ventilation matters. The building needs suitable ventilation for the fleece to work. It helps reduce condensation dripping; it does not replace a ventilated roof.
